|Our 2016 Exhibition at the Bear Steps Gallery is on a theme of 'Celebration' from 5th to 17th September, excluding Sundays.|
Meetings are held at
Bayston Hill Memorial Hall, Lyth Hill Road, Bayston Hill SY3 0DR.
We meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month 10.00am - 3.30pm except for February when the pantomime displaces us to the 4th Saturday. A list of dates is here.
Meetings are friendly and informal. Bring your pillow and join us to make lace and chat.
One of our experienced professional Tutors is usually in attendance to help and advise us with our lacemaking problems.
Beginners are always welcome. We have pillows and bobbins for absolute beginners to try so that you can be sure lacemaking is for you before you invest in equipment.
We also have a comprehensive library of books, magazines, DVDs and patterns.
During 2015 we were honoured to be asked to create a set of collar and cuffs for Christine Holmes, High Sheriff in Nomination for Shropshire in 2016. Pictures of the presentation and the finished work are below, see here for more pictures and the completed court dress.
There are more pictures on our History page and a report on her Declaration on our Lace for the Sheriff page.
